At Request Quotation screen, you may request for a quotation by following the steps below:-
Step 1: Enter a few basic information like email address, electricity bill amount, address, property type and click on the Request Quotation button.
You will see a "View Quotation" button in the email.
Click on the "View Quotation" button will lead you to buySolar signup screen.
If you are already a registered member with buySolar, proceed to login to access your profile and quotation.
If you are not a member with buySolar, signup and proceed.
Firstly, you have to request a quotation. Then, log in to the platform.
Follow the steps below to view quotation(s):-
Step 1: Click on 'Hi [your name]'. Select the 'My Quotations' menu. OR, If you see a left panel, click on the 'My Quotations' menu.
After your quotation is ready, you will be contacted by a buySolar consultant.
A free consultation session will be provided to you to brief and explain the proposal.
The consultant will also cover the process involved for the entire flow of getting solar installed.
After the consultation, you may ask for a site assessment from the Supplier to get a final quotation.
First, you have to secure a site visit or site assessment with the Supplier.
During the site visit, you will be briefed and explained on the recommendation installation. Once you are satisfied and decided to proceed with next step, you may pay the deposit payment of RM2,000 for NEM application.
You may inform our consultant on your interest to request for a site assessment. Our consultant will do the neccessary for you.
Alternatively, you may follow the steps below:-

Site Visit Appointment
When supplier schedule a site visit with you, a SMS will be sent to your mobile number; an email will be sent to your registered email address.

Follow the steps below to find out whether there is a site visit request:-
You can view the Site Visit Appointment details screen by clicking on the 'Site Visit Schedule' button in the quotation listing screen. These information will be listed on the Site Visit Appointment details screen:-
a) Appointment Date Time
The contact number of the person in charge will be shown on the Site Visit Appointment details screen.
You can view the Site Visit Appointment details screen by clicking on the 'Site Visit Schedule' button in the quotation listing screen.
During the site visit, you will be briefed and explained on the recommendation installation by the Supplier.
After the site visit, the supplier will prepare the final quotation based on the site visit and your needs or requirements. You may review the final quotation from the "My Quotation" section.
How do I proceed to the next step after I am satisfied with the Final Quotation submitted by the preferred supplier?
You may accept the Final Quotation to have a Job Order created for you.
The supplier will start the NEM application through SEDA. After obtaining NEM certificate, you may make the full payment to continue with the solar installation.
Activities involved after the Job Order is created as below:-
1) NEM Application
2) If payment method is Cash or Credit Card, then
a) Make full payment upon NEM approval where you will get the NEM certificate
No, you have 12 months from the NEM certification date to commence the installation process.
How do I ensure the Supplier will do a good job after the full payment is made before the installation?
buySolar will only release the payment to the supplier after you acknowledge that the solar installation is completed and in order.

My house is on 1-phase power, if I were to renovate my house and change it to 3-phase power, will the inverter be able to support both phases?
No, you will have to change the inverter to support 3-phase power.
In the future, if I want to upgrade the solar system size from 3kWp to 5kWp, what is the process? Is there any cost to upgrade?
The entire process flow and site assessment will repeat. Resubmission of the NEM application is required. It depends on the new scheme offered by SEDA at that particular time.
If I sell my house after solar installation and I do not want to remove the solar system from the house, can the NEM certificate be transferred to the new owner? What is the process? What is the cost involved? Does the scheme remains unchanged?
NEM certification can be transferred to new owner of the house by referring to SEDA.
RM10 per kWp will be charged as application fee for new owner (paid by new owner), and a certain amount will be charged as admin fee by the supplier.
NEM scheme remains the same.
If I want to remove the solar system and re-install it at my new house, what do I need to do with the NEM certification? What is the process? What is the cost involved? Does the scheme remains unchanged?
Customer needs to call buySolar Customer Service Center for solar panels relocation arrangement. Charges for panels relocation to new address will be applied. Customer will need to sign some documents, and those documents will be sent to SEDA for the update on your relocation.
NEM scheme remains the same.
Warranty and Maintenance
The warranty for the solar system depends on the warranty provided by the manufacturer. Each component might have different warranty terms.
All the warranty terms and conditions must be clearly stated in the quotation prepared by the supplier/contractor.
You will be able to monitor the solar-system performance after the solar installation via the monitoring dashboard. This is only available if the solar-system installation is completed through buySolar platform.

If the roof collapses after solar installation, it can be covered under Anora Agency’s Solar Pro Insurance Plan.
The entire system is insured but compensation will be for whatever is damaged only.
For example, if the inverter is not damaged, you will not be able to claim for the replacement of an inverter.
